Empty legs

Fly private for a fraction of the price

Cost effective solution

Chartering an empty leg flight is a cost effective solution compared to a regular private jet charter service. If you’re flexible about dates and times, or ready to take a last minute deal and you are seeking for a one-way flight, chances are that we can find you an empty leg matching your needs

About your Empty Leg

Empty legs are private charter flights that fly without passengers on their way to reposition themselves from one airport to another. Even if the initial empty leg offer does not match perfectly with your travel needs but the time-frame corresponds to your flight dates, our team will see if there is any possibility to re-route the empty leg.

We find you the best deal!

Saves time

Private jet charter saves time and offers complete flexibility. Rather than endless queuing in security, arrive 15 minutes before your departure time, clear private security screening and wait in an exclusive lounge in a private jet terminal.

Better-located airports

Private jets can often use smaller, better-located airports all over the world, getting you closer to your destination. However, when you are less flexible and need to travel by private jet with a specific purpose in mind, consider using our on-demand service.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is an Empty Leg?

Every time a private jet is booked for a one way flight, an empty leg becomes available for the return journey, because aircraft must fly empty to return to its previous destination and pick up its next set of passengers. This means that by booking wisely you could save up to 75% on the cost of a conventional private jet charter.

  • How much will an empty flight cost?

The price of empty leg flights is typically 50-70% less than a normal charter flight.  Although the aircraft may be empty when repositioning, the empty-leg customer still needs to cover additional costs such as catering, passengers taxes, and additional fuel requirements.

  • What is the difference between an empty leg flight and a normal charter flight?

Although an empty leg is very similar to a regular charter flight, there are a few subtle differences to keep in mind:

    • Empty flights flights are sold subject to a primary charter flight being carried out. In the event that the primary charter is canceled, the empty leg will also be canceled

    • It is only possible to offer an empty leg on short notice when the original charter aircraft schedule is clearly defined. We do not recommend booking an empty leg more than a few days days in advance.

    • Empty legs are predefined in their routing and timings. Adjustments can be made, but the more specific your requirements are compared to the original empty leg, the more expensive the flight will be.
  • How can I find these discounted flights?

As our customer, you can search our real-time empty legs database at any time or inform us with your route and preferred travel (flexible) dates, budget, and the number of people joining you on the flight and our team will try to find you a suitable solution. Our recommendation is to book an empty leg flight approximately 48 hours before departure.

  • Can I book an empty seat on a flight?

When you charter an ’empty leg’ flight you are chartering the whole aircraft so whether there is 1 person travelling or 6 people travelling the price is the cost for the whole aircraft and not per seat/passenger.

  • Is it possible to change the empty leg route?

To meet your itinerary it is often possible to tailor empty leg flights to a slightly different route from what was originally planned. As a result of the additional landing fees, the price will be higher. However, this is still a better deal than a conventional charter.

  • Do empty leg flights include catering?

If the empty leg flight is booked with enough notice, then catering can be arranged at extra costs. In the case of a last-minute booking, only snacks and drinks will be provided onboard.
